Overview

ReVoice is an AI meeting-intelligence platform that transcribes your meetings and generates summaries and action items. This page explains how to add, use, and remove the Google Drive integration.

The integration uses the Google Drive API over OAuth to save each meeting summary as a Google Doc. It uses the per-file Drive scope, so it can only see and manage the files it creates, not the rest of your Drive.

Prerequisites

  • A ReVoice account at https://re-voice.io with permission to manage integrations in your workspace.
  • A ReVoice paid plan (Individual or higher). If your workspace admin has restricted this integration, use Request access on the card.
  • A Google account with Google Drive.

Adding the app

Follow these steps to connect Google Drive to ReVoice:

  • Sign in to ReVoice at https://re-voice.io.
  • Go to Settings, then Integrations.
  • Find Google Drive and click Connect.
  • On Google's consent screen, review the requested access and click Allow.
  • You are returned to ReVoice, where Google Drive shows as Connected.
PermissionWhy ReVoice needs it
See, create, and manage only the files it creates (drive.file)Save each meeting summary as a Google Doc and manage those documents. This does not give ReVoice access to any other files in your Drive.

If a step does not work, see the Troubleshooting section below.

Using the app

After connecting, you can use the following features:

  • Confirm the connection: Settings, then Integrations, then Google Drive shows as Connected.
  • Choose where documents are saved: open Settings, then Integrations, then Google Drive, and choose to save either to your Drive root or to an app-managed folder named 'ReVoice Meeting Summaries', then save.
  • Save meeting summaries as Google Docs: after a meeting is processed, its summary is written as a new Google Doc in the destination you selected.

Removing the app

You can remove the integration from either side.

From ReVoice: go to Settings, then Integrations, then Google Drive, and click Disconnect.

From your Google account: open https://myaccount.google.com/permissions, find ReVoice, and click Remove access.

  • Consequences of removal: ReVoice stops saving new meeting summaries to Google Drive. Documents already created remain in your Drive.
  • How your data is handled: ReVoice deletes the stored Google Drive connection (the OAuth tokens) from its database and requests revocation of its Google access, unless you also have Google Calendar connected (both share one Google authorization, so ReVoice keeps that grant to avoid breaking your calendar connection).
  • Your ReVoice meetings and transcripts are not deleted by disconnecting Google Drive; they remain in your ReVoice account.

Troubleshooting

  • Google Drive shows 'Reconnect needed': your authorization expired or was revoked. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then Google Drive, and click Connect again.
  • A summary was not saved: confirm a destination is selected and that the connection is still active, then re-run the summary.
  • You cannot find a summary document: check both your Drive root and the 'ReVoice Meeting Summaries' folder, depending on the destination you chose.
  • The consent screen shows an error: make sure you are signing in to the correct Google account, then retry from Settings, then Integrations, then Google Drive.

Frequently asked questions

Can ReVoice read my existing Drive files? No. With the per-file scope it can only see and manage the documents it creates for you.

Where are the summaries saved? Either your Drive root or an app-managed folder named 'ReVoice Meeting Summaries', depending on the destination you choose.

Do I need a paid plan? Yes. Google Drive is available on the Individual plan and higher.

Where is my data stored? Connection data and OAuth tokens are stored in our EU-hosted database, and tokens are encrypted at rest. See our Privacy Policy for details.
