Overview
ReVoice is an AI meeting-intelligence platform that transcribes your meetings and generates summaries and action items. This page explains how to add, use, and remove the Zoom integration.
The integration uses Zoom's REST API over OAuth. It does not run inside the Zoom meeting client, and it does not access your Zoom cloud recordings or transcripts.
Prerequisites
- A ReVoice account at https://re-voice.io with permission to manage integrations in your workspace.
- A Zoom account. To post summaries you also need Zoom Team Chat enabled with at least one channel.
Adding the app
Follow these steps to connect Zoom to ReVoice:
- Sign in to ReVoice at https://re-voice.io.
- Go to Settings, then Integrations.
- Find Zoom and click Connect.
- On Zoom's authorization screen, review the requested permissions and click Allow.
- You are returned to ReVoice, where Zoom shows as Connected and your Zoom account name is displayed.
| Permission | Why ReVoice needs it |
|---|
| View a user (user:read:user) | Show which Zoom account is linked, and identify the connection so it can be deleted on disconnect. |
| View a user's meetings (meeting:read:list_meetings) | Show your upcoming Zoom meetings in ReVoice for scheduling and preparation. |
| View a user's chat channels (team_chat:read:list_user_channels) | Let you choose which Team Chat channel receives summaries. |
| Send message (message:write:content) | Post a meeting summary to the channel you select, when you choose to send it. |
If a step does not work, see the Troubleshooting section below.
Using the app
After connecting, you can use the following features:
- Confirm the connected account: Settings, then Integrations, then Zoom shows the connected Zoom account name so you can confirm the right account is linked.
- See your Zoom meetings in ReVoice: when you sync your calendar, your upcoming Zoom meetings appear with their topic, start time, and join link, so you can prepare for and schedule recording of them.
- Choose where summaries are posted: open Settings, then Integrations, then Zoom, pick the Team Chat channel that should receive summaries, and save.
- Post meeting summaries to Team Chat: after a meeting is processed, its summary (title, overview, action items, and key highlights, plus a link back to ReVoice) can be posted to the Team Chat channel you selected.
Removing the app
You can remove (deauthorize) the integration from either side.
From the Zoom App Marketplace: sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, click Manage in the top-right corner, click Added Apps, find ReVoice, click Remove, choose a reason (optional), and confirm.
From ReVoice: go to Settings, then Integrations, then Zoom, and click Disconnect.
- Consequences of removal: ReVoice stops listing your Zoom meetings and stops posting meeting summaries to Team Chat. Any automatic summary posting for this connection stops immediately.
- How your data is handled: ReVoice revokes its OAuth access with Zoom and deletes the stored Zoom connection (the OAuth tokens, the Zoom account name, and the Zoom user id). When you remove the app from the Zoom side, ReVoice receives Zoom's deauthorization event and confirms the deletion through Zoom's Data Compliance process.
- Your ReVoice meetings and transcripts are not deleted by disconnecting Zoom; they remain in your ReVoice account. To delete those, delete them in ReVoice or delete your ReVoice account in Settings.
Troubleshooting
- Zoom shows 'Reconnect needed': your authorization expired or was revoked. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then Zoom, and click Connect again.
- No channels appear in the selector: make sure Team Chat is enabled on your Zoom account and that you belong to at least one channel, then reconnect.
- Your Zoom meetings do not appear: confirm you have upcoming scheduled meetings in Zoom, then run a calendar sync in ReVoice.
- A summary was not posted: confirm a summary channel is selected and that the connection is still active, then re-run the summary.
- The authorization screen shows an error: make sure you are signing in to the correct Zoom account, then retry from Settings, then Integrations, then Zoom.
Frequently asked questions
Which Zoom account gets connected? The Zoom account you sign in with on the authorization screen. The connected account name is shown in ReVoice so you can confirm it.
Does ReVoice access my Zoom cloud recordings or transcripts? No. ReVoice only reads your meeting list and your Team Chat channels, and posts summaries you choose to send.
Do I need a paid Zoom plan? No, but posting summaries requires Zoom Team Chat to be available on your account.
Where is my data stored? Connection data and OAuth tokens are stored in our EU-hosted database, and tokens are encrypted at rest. See our Privacy Policy for details.
