Overview
ReVoice is an AI meeting-intelligence platform that transcribes your meetings and generates summaries and action items. This page explains how to add, use, and remove the Slack integration.
The integration uses Slack's API over OAuth to post meeting summaries to a channel you choose. It does not read your Slack messages.
Prerequisites
- A ReVoice account at https://re-voice.io with permission to manage integrations in your workspace.
- A ReVoice paid plan (Individual or higher). If your workspace admin has restricted this integration, use Request access on the card.
- A Slack workspace where you can authorize apps, and at least one channel to post to.
Adding the app
Follow these steps to connect Slack to ReVoice:
- Sign in to ReVoice at https://re-voice.io.
- Go to Settings, then Integrations.
- Find Slack and click Connect.
- On Slack's authorization screen, review the requested permissions and click Allow.
- You are returned to ReVoice, where Slack shows as Connected.

Using the app
After connecting, you can use the following features:
- Confirm the connection: Settings, then Integrations, then Slack shows as Connected.
- Choose where summaries are posted: open Settings, then Integrations, then Slack, pick the channel that should receive summaries, and save.
- Post meeting summaries to Slack: after a meeting is processed, its summary (title, overview, action items, and key highlights, plus a link back to ReVoice) can be posted to the channel you selected, either on demand or automatically.
Removing the app
You can remove the integration from either side.
From ReVoice: go to Settings, then Integrations, then Slack, and click Disconnect.
From Slack: open your Slack workspace settings, go to Manage apps, find ReVoice, and remove it.
- Consequences of removal: ReVoice stops posting meeting summaries to Slack. Any automatic summary posting for this connection stops immediately.
- How your data is handled: ReVoice revokes its Slack access token and deletes the stored Slack connection from its database.
- Your ReVoice meetings and transcripts are not deleted by disconnecting Slack; they remain in your ReVoice account.
Troubleshooting
- Slack shows 'Reconnect needed': your authorization expired or was revoked. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then Slack, and click Connect again.
- No channels appear in the selector: make sure you belong to at least one channel, then reconnect. For a private channel, ReVoice can only list channels you are a member of.
- A summary was not posted: confirm a channel is selected and that the connection is still active, then re-run the summary.
- The authorization screen shows an error: make sure you are signing in to the correct Slack workspace, then retry from Settings, then Integrations, then Slack.
Frequently asked questions
Does ReVoice read my Slack messages? No. ReVoice only lists the channels you can post to and posts the summaries you choose to send.
Can I post to a private channel? Yes, as long as you are a member of it.
Do I need a paid plan? Yes. Slack is available on the Individual plan and higher.
Where is my data stored? Connection data and OAuth tokens are stored in our EU-hosted database, and tokens are encrypted at rest. See our Privacy Policy for details.
