Overview
ReVoice is an AI meeting-intelligence platform that transcribes your meetings and generates summaries and action items. This page explains how to add, use, and remove the Microsoft Outlook calendar integration.
The integration uses Microsoft Graph over OAuth to read your Outlook calendar. It is read-only: it does not create, edit, or delete anything in your calendar, and it does not read your email.
Prerequisites
- A ReVoice account at https://re-voice.io with permission to manage integrations in your workspace.
- A Microsoft account with an Outlook calendar. This integration is available on every ReVoice plan, including the free plan.
- If your workspace admin has restricted this integration, use Request access on the card.
Adding the app
Follow these steps to connect Outlook to ReVoice:
- Sign in to ReVoice at https://re-voice.io.
- Go to Settings, then Integrations.
- Find Microsoft Outlook and click Connect.
- On Microsoft's consent screen, review the requested access and click Accept.
- You are returned to ReVoice, where Microsoft Outlook shows as Connected.
| Permission | Why ReVoice needs it |
|---|
| Read your calendars (Calendars.Read) | Read your upcoming events, their title, start time, and any online-meeting join link, so ReVoice can list them and let the AI bot join your online meetings. This access is read-only. |
| Sign you in and read your profile (User.Read) | Identify the Microsoft account you connect so ReVoice can link and later remove the connection. |
| Maintain access to data (offline_access) | Keep the calendar in sync without asking you to sign in again each time. |
If a step does not work, see the Troubleshooting section below.
Using the app
After connecting, you can use the following features:
- Confirm the connection: Settings, then Integrations, then Microsoft Outlook shows as Connected.
- See your meetings in ReVoice: your upcoming Outlook events appear with their title, start time, and join link, so you can prepare for and schedule recording of them.
- Automatic online-meeting joining: for events that include an online-meeting link, ReVoice can send its AI bot to join and record the meeting, according to your recording settings.
Removing the app
You can remove the integration from either side.
From ReVoice: go to Settings, then Integrations, then Microsoft Outlook, and click Disconnect.
From your Microsoft account: open https://myapps.microsoft.com, find ReVoice, and remove its access.
- Consequences of removal: ReVoice stops syncing your Outlook calendar and stops listing your upcoming Outlook events, and the AI bot no longer joins your online meetings automatically from your calendar.
- How your data is handled: ReVoice deletes the stored calendar connection (the OAuth tokens) from its database. To fully revoke access, remove ReVoice from your Microsoft account (above).
- Your ReVoice meetings and transcripts are not deleted by disconnecting Outlook; they remain in your ReVoice account.
Troubleshooting
- Outlook shows 'Reconnect needed': your authorization expired or was revoked. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then Microsoft Outlook, and click Connect again.
- Your Outlook meetings do not appear: confirm you have upcoming events in your Outlook calendar, then run a calendar sync in ReVoice.
- The AI bot did not join an online meeting: confirm the event has an online-meeting link and that recording is enabled for it in ReVoice.
- The consent screen shows an error: make sure you are signing in to the correct Microsoft account, then retry from Settings, then Integrations, then Microsoft Outlook.
Frequently asked questions
Can ReVoice change my calendar? No. The integration is read-only, so it can read your events but cannot create, edit, or delete them.
Does ReVoice read my email? No. This integration only requests read-only access to your calendar events and your basic account identity.
Do I need a paid plan? No. Microsoft Outlook is available on every ReVoice plan, including the free plan.
Where is my data stored? Connection data and OAuth tokens are stored in our EU-hosted database, and tokens are encrypted at rest. See our Privacy Policy for details.
