Overview
ReVoice is an AI meeting-intelligence platform that transcribes your meetings and generates summaries and action items. This page explains how to add, use, and remove the Google Calendar & Meet integration.
The integration uses the Google Calendar API over OAuth to read your upcoming events. It is read-only: it does not create, edit, or delete anything in your calendar, and it does not read your email or your Google Drive files.
Prerequisites
- A ReVoice account at https://re-voice.io with permission to manage integrations in your workspace.
- A Google account with a calendar. This integration is available on every ReVoice plan, including the free plan.
Adding the app
Follow these steps to connect Google Calendar & Meet to ReVoice:
- Sign in to ReVoice at https://re-voice.io.
- Go to Settings, then Integrations.
- Find Google Calendar & Meet and click Connect.
- On Google's consent screen, review the requested access and click Allow.
- You are returned to ReVoice, where Google Calendar & Meet shows as Connected.
| Permission | Why ReVoice needs it |
|---|
| Sign in with Google (openid, email, profile) | Confirm which Google account is connected, and identify the connection so it can be deleted on disconnect. |
| View events on your calendars (calendar.events.readonly) | Read your upcoming events, their title, start time, and Google Meet link, so ReVoice can list them and let the AI bot join your Google Meet meetings. This access is read-only. |
If a step does not work, see the Troubleshooting section below.
Using the app
After connecting, you can use the following features:
- Confirm the connection: Settings, then Integrations, then Google Calendar & Meet shows as Connected.
- See your meetings in ReVoice: your upcoming Google Calendar events appear with their title, start time, and join link, so you can prepare for and schedule recording of them.
- Automatic Google Meet joining: for events that include a Google Meet link, ReVoice can send its AI bot to join and record the meeting, according to your recording settings.
Removing the app
You can remove the integration from either side.
From ReVoice: go to Settings, then Integrations, then Google Calendar & Meet, and click Disconnect.
From your Google account: open https://myaccount.google.com/permissions, find ReVoice, and click Remove access.
- Consequences of removal: ReVoice stops syncing your Google Calendar and stops listing your upcoming Google events, and the AI bot no longer joins Google Meet meetings automatically from your calendar.
- How your data is handled: ReVoice deletes the stored calendar connection (the OAuth tokens) from its database and requests revocation of its Google access.
- If you also use Google Drive with ReVoice: a single Google authorization covers both Google Calendar and Google Drive, so disconnecting Google Calendar always revokes that shared access and makes a still-connected Google Drive integration unusable. Reconnect Google Drive afterwards if you use it.
- Your ReVoice meetings and transcripts are not deleted by disconnecting Google; they remain in your ReVoice account. To delete those, delete them in ReVoice or delete your ReVoice account in Settings.
Troubleshooting
- Google Calendar shows 'Reconnect needed': your authorization expired or was revoked. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then Google Calendar & Meet, and click Connect again.
- Your Google meetings do not appear: confirm you have upcoming events in your Google Calendar, then run a calendar sync in ReVoice.
- The AI bot did not join a Google Meet: confirm the event has a Google Meet link and that recording is enabled for it in ReVoice.
- The consent screen shows an error: make sure you are signing in to the correct Google account, then retry from Settings, then Integrations, then Google Calendar & Meet.
Frequently asked questions
Which Google account gets connected? The Google account you sign in with on the consent screen.
Can ReVoice change my calendar? No. The integration is read-only, so it can read your events but cannot create, edit, or delete them.
Does ReVoice read my Gmail or my Google Drive files? No. This integration only requests read-only access to your calendar events and your basic account identity. Google Drive is a separate integration that you connect on its own.
Do I need a paid plan? No. Google Calendar & Meet is available on every ReVoice plan, including the free plan.
Where is my data stored? Connection data and OAuth tokens are stored in our EU-hosted database, and tokens are encrypted at rest. See our Privacy Policy for details.
